Facebook has been a long-time friend of mine since I learned that you could use it to gather information on the web from a personal perspective from others. I often used MySpace to gather information, but when I learned that many more of my associates were on Facebook, I had to learn more about it.
It was recently brought to my attention that the oldest Facebook member is 102 years old. Ivy Bean is a grandmother and a long-time friend too many. She doesn’t have many friends on Facebook, but she doesn’t seem to care.
What intrigued me the most about Ivy Bean is the fact that many more people are using Facebook to the virtual world. Ivy Bean may be 102 years old, but she still enjoys the socialization of it.
It doesn’t matter how old you are or what your passion online is, anyone can join Facebook and you can actually learn a lot from the people on there. I use it for one purpose and one purpose only; to keep up to date with what is happening in the blogging world. Blogging isn’t just about jotting down a few posts a week, it is about a passion that has driven us to want to learn more about one subject and with the help of places like Facebook, we can learn even more from people around us.
